With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Pinheiro saved DENVER™ from getting behind. When Diguinho Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DENVER™'s protests and gave Diguinho Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. Diguinho Vargas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Juan Sebastián Puig took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Pinheiro. Toninho Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Toninho Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Pinheiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the DENVER™ defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Pinheiro. The DENVER™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Toninho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Toninho Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by DENVER™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Toninho Pinheiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 45 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Abud. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Toninho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Wanderson Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DENVER™ and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Toninho Pinheiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Toninho Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. DENVER™'s Caio de Mendonça was substituted for Wanderson Passos. 68 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Toninho Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Toninho Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Toninho Pinheiro. That made the score 0-5 after 71 minutes of play. A collision led to DENVER™ getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Márcio Guedes hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Toninho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Caio de Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DENVER™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleithon Minuhin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. 87 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toninho Pinheiro. DENVER™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The supporters of DENVER™ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Abud in the 92nd minute of play. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
