Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores, 3-0. After 36 played minutes Carlos Alberto Soares rounded Paraguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmir Pombal went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Soares in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmir Pombal went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Walmir Pombal struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Carlos Alberto Soares sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. If Carlos Alberto Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, Walmir Pombal notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Soares came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Alberto Soares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catugi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 72 minutes into the game, Miguel Pimenta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Walmir Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Soares came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Fabiano Maranhense got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Walmir Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. The audience was convinced that Walmir Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
