Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute Luisito Antequera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Montevideo's Fernandão Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Luisito Antequera had several of the Paraguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Jacobo Nores as he didn't even see the shot coming. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Antequera in the 13th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Wilson Fernandez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacobo Nores quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Bray McJon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Campos's late challenge caught a Montevideo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Campos helped the player get up and apologised. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bray McJon went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Bray McJon might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bray McJon ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisito Antequera in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. After 37 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Mário Maranhense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Antequera got free with Jacobo Nores in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Primitivo Escribano hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luisito Antequera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 47 minutes into the match, Montevideo's Bray McJon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Antequera to make the kick off. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Antequera, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Bray McJon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute Luisito Antequera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Antequera in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Luisito Antequera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bray McJon came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Montevideo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bray McJon couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montevideo's Luisito Antequera got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Antequera, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bray McJon's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Wilson Fernandez hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros. Ronaldo Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Montevideo's Luisito Antequera in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 82nd minute, Luisito Antequera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. 85 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Antequera came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Luisito Antequera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisito Antequera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. After 90 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão Recife. After 91 played minutes, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronaldo Medeiros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. Luisito Antequera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Antequera in the 97th minute of play. Paraguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
