Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bruno Capello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Capello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Capello. If Bruno Capello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Bruno Capello could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Pedro Manzanares however easily saved by the left post. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustín Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of the match. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Mastache in the 23rd minute of play. Cipriano Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Bruno Capello capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Capello really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Trip's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute of the match, Abram Sarmiento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustín Rossi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The throw-in from Fausto Gauargi in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Agustín Rossi came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 63rd minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustín Rossi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Bruno Capello sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Abram Secada took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Agustín Rossi to make any attempt to save it. Los Trip's Flavio Marchegiani was substituted for Manuel Santxol. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca in the 88th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Mastache succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Trip.
