In the 15th minute Lipochσrion FC were awarded a corner. Fanis Peros went to the cornerflag to take it. A hard shot 19 in the game by Nikos Stavrou from a close distance when the talented Marcos Cotilla managed to make a qualified save. Panama's players were relieved. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necat Baysal in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikos Stavrou. In the 30th minute, Nikos Stavrou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Stavrou in the 32nd minute of play. After 39 played minutes Lipochσrion FC got a freekick which was hit by Thanos Agapoulis. In the 41st minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theagenis Giannou skillfully saved the ball. Michalis Patsatzoglou hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. Lipochσrion FC's Theagenis Giannou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theagenis Giannou. Lipochσrion FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Theagenis Giannou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Stavrou came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 74th minute. Theagenis Giannou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The supporters of Panama booed when Lipochσrion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stathis Aggelakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Theagenis Giannou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Stavrou in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 91st minute of play forced Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper Theagenis Giannou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Stavrou might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
