Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mambru Fontoya kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Real Marabino's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ibon Toraño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Marabino's Ibon Toraño. Ibon Toraño was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ibon Toraño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Real Marabino defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ibon Toraño. The Real Marabino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ibon Toraño should have stopped the shot. Ibon Toraño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. Ibon Toraño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Real Marabino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mambru Fontoya to maneuver through the defense. Blas Arrazola hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play forced Real Marabino's goalkeeper Ibon Toraño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Real Marabino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Arrazola to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play forced Real Marabino's goalkeeper Ibon Toraño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kinsen Aguinagalde hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Real Marabino players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bobby Abreu was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Real Marabino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kinsen Aguinagalde to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Abreu in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arixo Aponte fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Marabino's protests and gave Arixo Aponte a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arixo Aponte in the 61st minute of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Gero Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Real Marabino's Ekain Porlier was substituted for Mambru Fontoya. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Ibon Toraño to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A nice corner shot did that Blas Arrazola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibon Toraño having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Blas Arrazola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Marabino and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Real Marabino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Arrazola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Marabino's Ibon Toraño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ibon Toraño made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Felix Montenegro's late challenge caught a Real Marabino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Marabino booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Blas Arrazola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
