Cyryl Kiewra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyryl Kiewra, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigge Holmberg saved Lekparken FC from getting behind. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigge Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Lekparken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Albohm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Alves struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lekparken FC. Måns Stålman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cyryl Kiewra came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cyryl Kiewra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lekparken FC's Sigge Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Cyryl Kiewra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lekparken FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyryl Kiewra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
