In the 9th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vito Vidal skillfully saved the ball. When Túlio Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's protests and gave Túlio Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. 12 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vito Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorian Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vito Vidal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Felix Montenegro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vito Vidal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Vito Vidal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edinho Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Vito Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Clemente Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Vito Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Vito Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Prestes in the 47th minute of the match.

In the 50th match minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Paiva to maneuver through the defense. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Vito Vidal however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Prestes in the 60th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Vidal having to interfere. Vito Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vito Vidal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vito Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Túlio Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Paiva to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
