Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Berganza kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barry McCray. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lew Yashin having to interfere. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Fioravanti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Modlau booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Barry McCray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Fioravanti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Miguel Miralles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Modlau the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominic Salazar in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Claudio Fioravanti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Fioravanti in the 42nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Modlau's Barry McCray nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 47th minute Claudio Fioravanti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Fioravanti made a kick off. Barry McCray scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Dominic Salazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Fioravanti in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudio Fioravanti took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Damazy Jucha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Fioravanti came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lew Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 minutes of play, Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Barry McCray came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Fioravanti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modlau were furious when Wincenty Mochowak was red carded, 89 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Modlau fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Fioravanti, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Modlau.
