He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Mirande in the 21st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gabby Arias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Colombia's Pascual Carballar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Martin Gorbea, made in the 26th minute of the game. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabby Arias having to make a save. Gabby Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abram Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabby Arias having to make a save. In the 34th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabby Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Eleuterio Mirande tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Martin Gorbea in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabby Arias was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ilulea FC's zone, Abram Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabby Arias came out of the goal and Abram Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Gabby Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 53rd minute of the match. After 55th play minutes Eleuterio Mirande shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Pedro Manzanares and just under the crossbar into goal. Pascual Carballar charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Carballar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Pascual Carballar hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marian Golembiewski during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Ilulea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Golembiewski to maneuver through the defense. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Marian Golembiewski kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Abram Secada made a precise shot to the right of Gabby Arias. Ilulea FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Mirande in the 86th minute of play. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Gabby Arias made a huge save. The corner led to Colombia's Abram Secada getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 91 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Indiano. After 92 played minutes, Ilulea FC's 史铮坤 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ilulea FC reached it. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
