Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santino Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93rd play minutes Ignacio Mastache shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Jan Figlewski and just under the crossbar into goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
