Zola Predosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amedeo Piermattei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Rego. Josué Rego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Andino in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Rego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes Zola Predosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Marra. A collision led to Zola Predosa FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alvise Mascitti hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Delabarre in the 37th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amedeo Piermattei's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The supporters of Zola Predosa FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Piermattei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zola Predosa FC's Venancio Jauregui was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 71st minute, Cosimo Sciamanna had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Josué Rego made a huge save. Ecuador played a much better game than Zola Predosa FC and deserved their victory. The Zola Predosa FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
