The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Liu Xing Qiang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Liu Xing Qiang quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Francesco Coscia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. If Erwin Jadamowitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC were awarded a corner. Quique Branca went to the cornerflag to take it. Wen Yi Peng hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francesco Coscia in the 37th minute. Liu Xing Qiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Felix Montes's late challenge caught a Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Montes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quique Branca in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erwin Jadamowitz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erwin Jadamowitz to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Francesco Coscia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Francesco Coscia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liu Xing Qiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 68th minute Erwin Jadamowitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Malta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Erwin Jadamowitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC made a substitution. Didier Skarsø replaced Erwin Jadamowitz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Liu Xing Qiang in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
