Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Engin Seferoğlulları came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alex Cambeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Cambeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seçkin Eroğul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seçkin Eroğul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seçkin Eroğul having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mir Güzel went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of SOMINECO booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seçkin Eroğul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Aaron Barrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seçkin Eroğul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seçkin Eroğul having to interfere. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Seçkin Eroğul was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 84thth minute of the game Isidoro Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOMINECO's Seçkin Eroğul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Seçkin Eroğul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, SOMINECO's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Seçkin Eroğul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of Panama's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Panama may have spent more time on the ball, but SOMINECO were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
