With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Cyryl Zagrodny tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Cyryl Zagrodny reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MAVARK - Działoszyn:s goal. Jonathan Ferrant went to the wrong direction when Dariusz Motowski was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Cyryl Zagrodny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.
