In the 11th minute Levent Hicran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Rogério Mitovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Mitovski. San Mauro A Mare FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Francesco Cremonese sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the San Mauro A Mare FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Mitovski. The San Mauro A Mare FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Mitovski should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Mitovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Mauro A Mare FC made a substitution. Augusto Riso replaced Vasco Bento. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Rogério Mitovski made a huge save. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by San Mauro A Mare FC's Levent Hicran. But to his dismay, Levent Hicran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With a little luck, San Mauro A Mare FC's Rogério Mitovski got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
