Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Aaron Ramsdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aaron Ramsdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Ramsdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Martin Juračka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play forced Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Martin Juračka tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. If Ionuț Mincă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionuț Mincă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute of the match, Ionuț Mincă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Martin Juračka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Alfred Markowski's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 55th minute Bertil Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience cheered when Bertil Göransson's long shot passed Julio Vera's right side. It was 1-0, 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Mincă in the 86th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Juračka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
