Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rick Cabezon started the match with the kick off. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Barcellos Mineiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Gil Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Amadeu Capixaba got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Joel Gaona succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-3! An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Cabezon in the 36th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barcellos Mineiro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tadeu Guerra in the 37th minute. Tadeu Guerra made a great header on Barcellos Mineiro FC's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Gil Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 48th minute of the match. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Luiz Guilherme Garcia replaced Amadeu Capixaba. 51 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Mexico's Facundo Cadaval getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Gil Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gil Coelho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 62 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Waka Barcellos hit a great ball. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Murilo Mattos replaced Tadeu Guerra. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Gernando Bueno replaced João Adolfo Hermes. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Barcellos Mineiro FC from getting a goal against them. Gil Coelho came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Gil Coelho in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Gil Coelho made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Manuel Antunes hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Gil Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Percy Prestes got a free kick in the 98th minute. Gil Coelho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 99th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joel Gaona. Percy Prestes's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 100th minute, Percy Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
