Xavier Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Anselmo Gama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şükrü Yazargil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Anselmo Gama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Cugat in the 34th minute of play. Angelo Assunção scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şükrü Yazargil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Angelo Assunção got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Assunção made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Anselmo Gama in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. MACAU. F.C's Lourenço Vilanova was substituted for Daniel Correia. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 75th minute. Alan Tamayo made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that MACAU. F.C's Anselmo Gama managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind MACAU.
