Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play forced Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Berni y Benja FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amancio Videl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olle Carlsson in the 13th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Berni y Benja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Amancio Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Berni y Benja FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Amancio Videl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Luis Andino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amancio Videl was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Videl had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Amancio Videl came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Roman Hibai's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Hibai helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Berni y Benja FC's Roman Hibai got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the match, Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 54th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amancio Videl came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 58th minute. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amancio Videl having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Arce in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Kärim Benzine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berni y Benja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kärim Benzine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berni y Benja FC's Roman Hibai got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Roman Hibai off the ground. After a rather tough play, Berni y Benja FC's Roman Hibai got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 90 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Boni's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute.
