Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Garth Brough kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Garth Brough's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 19th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Sainz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 40 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Jorge Sainz made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Camilo Franco however managed to control. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Brough's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba was substituted for Gabriel Martini. 65 minutes in the game Jorge Sainz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Camilo Franco. Keylor Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 66th minute. In the 69th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Brough in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Garth Brough had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garth Brough was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 78 minutes of play, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boyd Allan lost his temper 84 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Australian Youth Academy! Keylor Navas had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Fletcher Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Gisbert's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 94th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Australian Youth Academy had won after a very even match.
