The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Edoardo Filippini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Edoardo Filippini put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Edoardo Filippini might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edoardo Filippini ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Royal PSG booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tristan Bétourne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Edoardo Filippini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Edoardo Filippini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Edoardo Filippini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-1 in the 36 minute of play. Edoardo Filippini might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edoardo Filippini ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Filippini came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edoardo Filippini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Filippini in the 47th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edoardo Filippini was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fred Torres notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 54 minutes, Edoardo Filippini made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Edoardo Filippini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edoardo Filippini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Filippini in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 minutes, Théophile Boutillier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Royal PSG and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Royal PSG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Théophile Boutillier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Fred Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Torres came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Torres struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal PSG. When Flavien Villemin fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal PSG's protests and gave Flavien Villemin a yellow card for diving instead. Flavien Villemin kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Torres went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score.
