In the 3rd minute of the game Gameiro Thuret made a throw-in which Batiste Botella played forward. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. Gustave Héron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 10th minute of the match. Ludwig Högman charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ludwig Högman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Herblay got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Högman. 12 minutes into the match, Guillaume Chaine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustave Héron. Herblay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillaume Chaine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Chaine came free, but Gustave Héron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustave Héron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillaume Chaine in the 21st minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Gustave Héron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herblay's Gustave Héron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Chaine in the 24th minute of play. Gustave Héron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 27th minute of play. Batiste Botella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Adrien Tanneau made a huge save. In the 31st minute, Guillaume Chaine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustave Héron was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Joe Grosso made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valette Stars's Jakob Billvall. After a rather tough play, Herblay's Christophe Beaulieu got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ryan Hellec hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Adrien Tanneau made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Ludwig Högman sent off a good shot on target. Gustave Héron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 42nd minute of play. Gustave Héron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Chaine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillaume Soudan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Adrien Tanneau made a huge save. The Herblay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valette Stars were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Batiste Botella was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Herblay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabian Walme was slow to take the kick. During this time Valette Stars's players had a chance to rest. Gustave Héron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Chaine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillaume Chaine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustave Héron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Herblay's Gustave Héron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Chaine in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th minute Batiste Botella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Guillaume Chaine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustave Héron. Herblay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillaume Chaine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 72 minutes into the game, Guillaume Soudan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herblay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valette Stars the free kick. After a rather tough play, Herblay's Guillaume Soudan got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Gustave Héron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Valette Stars getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Nelson Nogueira hit a great ball. Herblay's Guillaume Soudan got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrien Tanneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Högman, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gustave Héron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 81st minute of play. Christophe Beaulieu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Adrien Tanneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustave Héron came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Valette Stars's Guillaume Chaine. But to his dismay, Guillaume Chaine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Valette Stars supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Valette Stars would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
