Marco Fabelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Michel Neuer made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Sune Bergdal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anderson Trigo. Fae Folgore's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sune Bergdal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Anderson Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from He Xiao Ao in the 21st minute of the match. Anderson Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liu Zhi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Michel Neuer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jakub Latocha in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by He Xiao Ao in the 28th minute of play forced Fae Folgore's goalkeeper Anderson Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund MZB's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Latocha came free, but Michel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The coaching staff of Fae Folgore protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roald Lillehagen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Fae Folgore's Sylwester Czerwinski was substituted for Jerzy Augustyn. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fae Folgore fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liu Zhi to make the kick off. Fae Folgore made a substitution. Wincenty Szarmach replaced Marco Fabelo. Dariusz Kluczyk hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund MZB getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Murilo Maranhense hit a great ball. Wincenty Szarmach scored 2-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Neuer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dariusz Kluczyk struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Michel Neuer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fae Folgore. Michel Neuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Latocha in the 86th minute of play. If Dariusz Kluczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borussia Dortmund MZB's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
