Sportivo Mela Banco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Marcial Ticho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute. Marcial Ticho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 67th minute of play. Sportivo Mela Banco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Marcial Ticho, making the score, 0-5. In the 82nd minute, Sportivo Mela Banco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 85th match minute, Sportivo Mela Banco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Ilazki to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Marcial Ticho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcial Ticho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filiberto Sauveur in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
