Ivan Säf's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Säf helped the player get up and apologised. Ivan Säf kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Lepucki got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kazimír Kuthan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

In the 99th minute, one of Fågelmara IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fågelmara IK. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fågelmara IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
