Zero Hedge's Wiktor Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. Åke Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. When Hans Nordström fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zero Hedge's protests and gave Hans Nordström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Hans Nordström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wiktor Wallander in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wiktor Wallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Zero Hedge made a substitution. Gabriel Odeen replaced Åke Jansson. After a rather tough play, Zero Hedge's Leonardo Siggesson got a free kick in the 68th minute. Gabriel Odeen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd match minute, Zero Hedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dani Python to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Odeen kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Wiktor Wallander however easily saved by the left post. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiktor Wallander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 86th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Odeen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Zero Hedge got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bo-Erik Billberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Bo-Erik Billberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zero Hedge throughout the match.
