Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilmar Kevade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hardo Kaar in the 10th minute of play. Hardo Kaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hardo Kaar ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardo Kaar in the 11th minute of play. Dušan Kinder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardo Kaar in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Hardo Kaar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hardo Kaar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elmo Lodev scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hardo Kaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Hardo Kaar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Elmo Lodev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Elmo Lodev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardo Kaar in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Hardo Kaar put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. The supporters of Aidu Metskonna Pöörased booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Hardo Kaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Hardo Kaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hardo Kaar ran back to his position shaking his head. Hardo Kaar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Hardi Nurmik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After having played for 53 minutes, Elmo Lodev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elmo Lodev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Hardo Kaar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 61st minute, Elmo Lodev made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 64 minutes into the match, Hardo Kaar notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Elmo Lodev came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica were furious when Alan Moruga was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Aidu Metskonna Pöörased a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ilmar Kevade, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 8-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmo Lodev, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Hardo Kaar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Hardo Kaar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elmo Lodev's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volli Vilo in the 78th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmo Lodev in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hardo Kaar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Hardo Kaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hardo Kaar ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hardo Kaar came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elmo Lodev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Hardo Kaar. But to his dismay, Hardo Kaar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Aidu Metskonna Pöörased had played much better football throughout.
