Alijilán returns's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Alijilán returns getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Saul Orti hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyprian Sroki's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Alijilán returns's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cipriano Tavio in the 18th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Victor Erauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyprian Sroki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aytuğ Aral struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alijilán returns. 29 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cyprian Sroki. After 43 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Alijilán returns players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprian Sroki in the 45th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Alijilán returns's Cipriano Tavio to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Sroki in the 51st minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyprian Sroki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Tavio who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Alijilán returns's Cyprian Sroki to a score. 3-1 in the 59th minute. Tomas Illescas had several of the Alijilán returns's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Victor Erauso as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Co Bayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alijilán returns's supporters rose to their feet, but Co Bayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Sroki, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Tavio who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cipriano Tavio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Sroki, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Adilson Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alijilán returns the free kick. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
