Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Bilintx in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justo Sagrario in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matias Eder came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Matias Eder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Águilas Poblanas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Chabier to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Eder having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Sagrario in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Bilintx struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águilas Poblanas. After a defensive mix-up in Águilas Poblanas's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Eder came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justo Sagrario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justo Sagrario made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 56th minute. The throw-in from Virgilio Guerau in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Sagrario came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Mannie. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Matias Eder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Roberto Mateus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Águilas Poblanas and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Justo Sagrario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Eder, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Virgilio Guerau hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Venezuela players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
