Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kyle Davies made the kick off which started today's match. In the 11th minute, David Píša got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Odehnal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. If David Píša had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Bertie Johnson. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopold Haas in the 18th minute of play. Bertie Johnson charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertie Johnson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bertie Johnson hit a great ball. When David Píša came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the AS Roma 1978 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Píša couldn't finish the play. Martin Odehnal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Barrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Martin Odehnal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. Leopold Haas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Odehnal did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Bruno Barrett 33 minutes into the match. Martin Odehnal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Troy Kennedy got a free kick in the 37th minute. Martin Odehnal in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Barrett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Martin Odehnal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, David Píša managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Roma 1978's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Píša was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Odehnal made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Troy Kennedy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curacao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 59 minutes into the game, Jiří Giňa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When David Píša came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the AS Roma 1978 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Píša couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes of play, AS Roma 1978's David Píša made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Píša in the 68th minute of play. If Martin Odehnal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Martin Odehnal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AS Roma 1978 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Odehnal in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Píša sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Píša in the 92nd minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AS Roma 1978 had played much better football throughout.
