But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobiasz Bejgier couldn't finish the play. Ludomir Jarek hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Tobiasz Bejgier took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Kaszubik, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Warmia Grajewo's Kurt Kaszubik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 4-0 after 37 minutes of play. Kurt Kaszubik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. In the 51st minute Aaron Alcocer suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Tobiasz Bejgier charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobiasz Bejgier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Costa Rica made a substitution. Gerardo Montenegro replaced Aaron Alcocer. If Kurt Kaszubik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Kaszubik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Giliusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Giliusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 80th minute of play. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Kurt Kaszubik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Warmia Grajewo's Kurt Kaszubik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Warmia Grajewo booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
