Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Jude Monkhouse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jude Monkhouse took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jude Monkhouse took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Várzea F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aloísio Secco in the 25th minute. If Jude Monkhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jude Monkhouse came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Várzea F.C.'s Jude Monkhouse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Jude Monkhouse notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jude Monkhouse to strike the kick off in the second half. Várzea F.C.'s Delmiro Licerio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Chicote in the 52 minute of the game. In the 55th minute, Jude Monkhouse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 59th minute Jude Monkhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s Jude Monkhouse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute of the match Várzea F.C. got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aloísio Secco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aloísio Secco made a great header on Várzea F.C.'s corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Carlos Augusto Quintal in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the match, Jude Monkhouse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jude Monkhouse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Eduardo Alcântara hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Dé Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 89th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Montenegro in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Dé Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Várzea F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
