Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Cícero Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. When SC Otten's Nils Neufeld in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Nils Neufeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Cícero Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, SC Otten's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Cícero Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Neufeld got free with Dante Lacasa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Gunter Ulm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bircan Onay, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute Norman Ackermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 45th minute of play. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that SC Otten's Cícero Proença managed to reach the ball for a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Neufeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Cícero Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Tafalla in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cícero Proença saved SC Otten from getting behind. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. SC Otten made a substitution. Lucas Bergvall replaced Petruț Măliță. In the 75th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Luca Zorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cícero Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Lucas Bergvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bircan Onay in the 86th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Otten throughout the match.
