In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Näver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Kent Näver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Näver. Kent Näver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kent Näver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Carl Kalfhage capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carl Kalfhage really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Karl-Magnus Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, INIXET BK's Tom Lövgren got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Näver having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kent Näver. That made the score 1-2 after 60 minutes of play. 63 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's Peder Alström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Kent Näver skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Kent Näver to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Kalfhage in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 75th minute. Kent Näver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to INIXET BK getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Kjell-Arne Fredriksson hit a great ball. INIXET BK's Kent Näver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Karl-Magnus Bergman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Karl-Magnus Bergman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The INIXET BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
