In the 13th minute, Basarab Alexandru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ralph Roeles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt van der Laan. 24 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ralph Roeles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Basarab Alexandru got a free kick in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Montenegro in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralph Roeles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt van der Laan. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. A hard shot 41 in the game by Kurt van der Laan from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. In the 42nd minute Jan de Vlieger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emiliano Caiola in the 43rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Emiliano Caiola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola got a free kick in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralph Roeles was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ralph Roeles, 0-2. In the 55th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Caiola to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Norbert Skrzypek hit a great ball. Ralph Roeles made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt van der Laan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Caiola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Emiliano Caiola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. When Kurt van der Laan came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt van der Laan couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Caiola during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Caiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralph Roeles having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt van der Laan in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralph Roeles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Emiliano Caiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ralph Roeles. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
