Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulf Olofsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ulf Olofsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulf Olofsson in the 6th minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ulf Olofsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Ulf Olofsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mark Falk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Ulf Olofsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Vilgot Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KD Stiger's Ulf Olofsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 31st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Olofsson in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 38th minute. After recieving a nice pass, KD Stiger's Georg Danielsson tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vilgot Sandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benjamin Blixt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Benjamin Blixt in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Georg Danielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. KD Stiger's supporters rose to their feet, but Georg Danielsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulf Olofsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Stark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Asmundsson in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. 86 minutes into the match, KD Stiger's Georg Danielsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 88th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ulf Olofsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Llorienzo Mora took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KD Stiger fully deserved thier win.
