Carlo Monni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The Śląsk Bytom fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Śląsk Bytom's Carlo Monni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulryk Miazga in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Carlo Monni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antoni Brama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 44th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antoni Brama saved Śląsk Bytom from getting behind. A collision led to Śląsk Bytom getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Daniel Garcia hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Śląsk Bytom's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Antoni Brama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Śląsk Bytom from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Antoni Brama made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th match minute, Śląsk Bytom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Wietz to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Birkenhagen in the 80th minute of play. Śląsk Bytom's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sivert Eliasson in the 81st minute. The corner ended in Sivert Eliasson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. 83 minutes into the match, Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Antoni Brama had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 86 minutes into the game, Śląsk Bytom's Hakkı Elçin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute of play forced Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Antoni Brama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Brama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Śląsk Bytom's Maciej Wietz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 95 minutes of play, Śląsk Bytom's Hakkı Elçin made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Śląsk Bytom fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
