After a defensive mix-up in Albiceleste F.C.'s zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Mino came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Marco Artal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Albiceleste F.C.'s Marco Artal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The supporters of Albiceleste F.C. booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball.
