Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Acho Gergishanov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Acho Gergishanov made a great header on Knights Templar's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Knights Templar's Zanko Yusev got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Cazalla got free with Bozhin Palakarchev in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Gayoso had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Acho Gergishanov's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sava Dodov in the 75th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatko Stumbov, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Knights Templar had won after a very even match.
