Gwidon Patora scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Veth Crystals getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Alejandro Bullon hit a great ball. Veth Crystals's He Lin Di got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Patora, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Lama. Veth Crystals's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Marcos Lama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Marcos Lama, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gwidon Patora who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcos Lama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 36th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from He Lin Di in the 44th minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gwidon Patora went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Lama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 59thth minute of the game He Lin Di who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Erik Persson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veth Crystals's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Persson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Veth Crystals made a substitution. Nedas Jameikis replaced Alejandro Bullon. In the 71st minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Wierzchowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwidon Patora in the 75th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos Lama could save by the left post. In the 80th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Lama despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Luis Andino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Lama. The goal made the score 2-2. If Erik Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Marcos Lama didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Lama. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. 96 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Patora came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
