Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Hogg in the 10th minute of play. Ged Nightingale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Ged Nightingale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Larry Ferrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guy Hogg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Larry Ferrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Connor Pringle threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Joaquin Prats quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Arrows Academy FC's Ged Nightingale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. Ged Nightingale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 40 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Connor Pringle. In the 40th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Murillo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play forced Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Ged Nightingale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Milagros Fraga came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milagros Fraga couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Ferrell in the 55th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Moises Gayoso in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Arrows Academy FC's Connor Pringle. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Julian Murillo hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Ferrell in the 59th minute of play. Arrows Academy FC's Guy Hogg got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 65 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Gayoso in the 76th minute of play forced Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Ged Nightingale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Peru booed when Arrows Academy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connor Pringle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo.
