Flatline Zombies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Flatline Zombies's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armağan Mukremin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Kalb in the 11th minute of play. Armağan Mukremin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armağan Mukremin. Armağan Mukremin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Flatline Zombies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finn Neeser to maneuver through the defense. Armağan Mukremin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armağan Mukremin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st match minute, Flatline Zombies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Rindlisbacher to maneuver through the defense. Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Finn Neeser was slow to take the kick. During this time Flatline Zombies's players had a chance to rest. In the 33rd minute, Levent Erkinay reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. The corner ended in Finn Neeser almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Levent Erkinays short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armağan Mukremin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Seco made a kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. In the 52nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armağan Mukremin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armağan Mukremin could save by the left post. When Flatline Zombies's Paulo Seco in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. When Georg Gustavsson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Flatline Zombies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Gustavsson couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Armağan Mukremin firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 75th minute Georg Gustavsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armağan Mukremin made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Armağan Mukremin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Seco in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Flatline Zombies's Armağan Mukremin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Flatline Zombies from getting a goal against them. Flatline Zombies's Edmondo Conti got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Flatline Zombies's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Conti in the 96th minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
