When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Enrique Prata sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 10thth minute of the game Boy Bonk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boy Bonk in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 20th minute Stefan Misiorowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Prata came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Stefan Misiorowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Chlapowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of the match. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Stefan Misiorowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Chlapowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Emil Chlapowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Anthony Mazzocchi fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bone Breakers's protests and gave Anthony Mazzocchi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bone Breakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Mazzocchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Zachary Dziewedik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Chlapowski having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Bone Breakers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eigirdas Abramavičius to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Misiorowski's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Chlapowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boy Bonk in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Enrique Prata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boy Bonk, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Boy Bonk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Chlapowski made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boy Bonk in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind.
