Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anthony Alvarado made in the 4th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Moises Gayoso immediately put the ball in play. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zbyszko Leper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Alonso Berganza in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BYDGOSTIA's Hilario Dalmai. BYDGOSTIA's Damian Piechocki quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moises Gayoso, made in the 21st minute of the game. The supporters of BYDGOSTIA booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Milagros Fraga made a precise shot to the right of Zbyszko Leper. BYDGOSTIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Zbyszko Leper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes BYDGOSTIA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Mariusz Warka lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BYDGOSTIA! Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zbyszko Leper. Zbyszko Leper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 40th minute, Patryk Zgonina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Peru were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Zbyszko Leper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 51st minute. With his leg Zbyszko Leper managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Peru's Luz Tejedor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The throw-in from Moises Gayoso in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BYDGOSTIA's Vladislav Sarafov. In the 59th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Leper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. BYDGOSTIA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Zbyszko Leper, making the score, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Zbyszko Leper in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zbyszko Leper was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. BYDGOSTIA's Emil Piesciuk was substituted for Radomil Gacki. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
