With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loco Durazno in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Loco Durazno took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Loco Durazno scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Mats Nyström. Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 27th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Lundqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Monty Rogers took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Anders Lundqvist to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Durazno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Golden Lions FC defense, Monty Rogers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. The Golden Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. Golden Lions FC's İbrahim Efe Topdemir was substituted for Marcelo Steven. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Lions FC from getting a goal against them. Anders Lundqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 83rd minute. Monty Rogers kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. He walked away shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Burç Tokhan notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Golden Lions FC were victorious despite being under pressure from USA for much of the match.
