Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Peter Belkå played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Tord Stolpe got a free kick in the 19th minute. Peter Belkå took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Belkå breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Krister Jonsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 34thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Peter Belkå was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Krister Jonsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Krister Jonsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot.
