Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Gora in the 21st minute of play. Cristiano Messi kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 24thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Ecuador's keeper Julio Vera was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kajetan Ochabski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kajetan Ochabski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristiano Messi might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. FC Ferrauda's Melchor Egoi was substituted for Miguel Ángel Russo. FC Ferrauda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by John Paul West in the 73rd minute. FC Ferrauda's John Paul West was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Kajetan Ochabski made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, FC Ferrauda's goalkeeper Kajetan Ochabski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 92nd minute, Melchor Egoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Ferrauda.
