Filomeno Benedicto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SISTRELLS's Filomeno Benedicto. Filomeno Benedicto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 39 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Benedicto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, SISTRELLS's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Filomeno Benedicto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
