Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when 秦正峰 sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that 秦正峰's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 洪广谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 84th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but 洪广谦 was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 86th minute, 肖鸿延 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 『挑战者』兄弟·努力 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 89 played minutes 『挑战者』兄弟·努力 got a freekick which was hit by Robert Cârju. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 『挑战者』兄弟·努力:s goal. Julio Vera had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping 肖鸿延's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 肖鸿延 in the 95th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 肖鸿延 in the 101st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 『挑战者』兄弟·努力's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 郝川崇 in the 102nd minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. 『挑战者』兄弟·努力 were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
